Executive Director

SAKINA BAJOWALA, MD

Dr. Bajowala is the founder of the Kaneland Food Allergy Foundation, and is responsible for the day to day management of the foundation’s activities. She is a board-certified adult & pediatric allergist/immunologist, with specialization in the evaluation and management of life-threatening food allergies. In addition to her full-time role as the Medical Director of Kaneland Allergy & Asthma Center, she is also the #1 Best-Selling author of “The Food Allergy Fix: an Integrative and Evidence-Based Approach to Food Allergen Desensitization”.
Chairman of the Board

MANSOOR BAJOWALA

Mansoor Bajowala brings to the Kaneland Food Allergy Foundation nearly two decades of operational management experience. He is currently Vice President of Professional Services at Omnitracs. Mansoor has a special interest in leveraging technology to modernize healthcare delivery. As Chairman, his role is to ensure that KFAF’s activities continue to honor its mission, and that the foundation has long-term sustainability.

DAWN WRONA EBY, JD

Dawn Eby has over 20 years of experience as an attorney, with litigation experience in the sectors of insurance coverage, legal and medical malpractice, torts, breach of contract, product and premises liability, personal injury and wrongful death claims, real estate and banking. She is currently Senior Counsel at Jones, Lemon & Graham LLP. Prior to her legal career, Dawn was a computer software engineer. Dawn is very involved in her local community. In addition to serving on the board of KFAF, Dawn is also on the Board of Commissioners of the Sugar Grove Park District. As the mother of children with food allergies, Dawn has a keen interest in promoting food allergy treatment awareness.

NADIA KHAMBATI, RD

Nadia Khambati is a Registered and Licensed Dietician and Certified Lifestyle Educator with over 15 years of clinical experience. She brings an integrative approach to nutrition in her practice at the North Shore University Health System. As the mother of a child with a peanut allergy, she understands first-hand the struggles of the “food allergy lifestyle”, and is pleased to bring her skill set and insight to KFAF as a member of our board.
